| My major project for the past six years has been the web site of the California Council on Science and Technology. http://www.ccst.us I have designed and maintained CCST's web site for several years, as well as designing the majority of their print projects. I will include examples of print work here, but most of this is also included in the CCST web site. There is also still online a nice little web site I did for a candidate this past election cycle: http://www.voteindependent.us/ That was a very enjoyable job. The candidate's idea person had a clear plan, and we put it together without a hitch. I'm very please that they have left it online. Preserve Laguna The wetlands lying between Sebastopol and Santa Rosa, in Sonoma County, California, has earned the attention of local residents who have organized to protect it's unique species and beauty. http://www.preservelaguna.org/ I want to feature the logo I designed for this group, since I am very pleased with it. I was inspired by Japanese family crests, which I think are extraordinarly fine graphic design examples. This logo cites the two endangered species associated with the Laguna wetlands; the Tiger Salamander and the Sebastopol Meadofoam plant. Here are two versions of the logo, the first as used on the web site, and the second a rather dramatic rendition that illustrates the design's versatility. |
